1. Respect yourself before Demanding Respect
You know, that saying about respecting yourself before you demand respect from anyone else. It basically means you have to start by valuing yourself and treating yourself with some real dignity. Otherwise, people around you just won't see why they should bother respecting you. Like, you set up these clear boundaries and standards for how you want to be treated. And then others kind of pick up on that, they learn to recognize it and actually honor it in the way they act toward you. Your own self-respect ends up guiding everything, showing folks exactly how they ought to engage with you. So yeah, it leads to way healthier relationships overall. Oh and, it builds up this greater sense of inner confidence that sticks with you.
